"Bridging Cultures"

The principal object of CATWAO is to provide a platform for Canadian and Turkish women to promote a better understanding and appreciation of their respective cultures, thus fostering goodwill and working towards better integration in the multicultural community.

 

This objective will be achieved through a variety of activities in the fields of art, culture, literature, women’s issues, and other complementary events.

 

CATWAO Supports 3 Female Students through Bursaries

CATWAO is offering 3 yearly bursary awards to 3 deserving female students at following post-secondary institutions in Ottawa.

The bursary is open to graduate students from any area of study who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to female applicants, without taking into consideration their race, religion, colour or ethnic origin. Special consideration will be given to female students who lead a single-parent household.

Carleton University

Awarded annually by the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs to a graduate student from any area of study who is in demonstrated financial need. Established in 2012 by the Canadian and Turkish Women’s Association of Ottawa.
